CYANOTYPE EXPERIMENTATION NO.2 : REWORKING OLD FOUND DIGITAL WORK
As aforementioned, as a result of the current circumstances I have been feeling very unmotivated and uninspired recently to create work that I am proud of. The uncertainty is causing me to to put a pause within my creativity, and I am constantly trying to find new ways to ignite this daily. One thing that I have been doing to keep busy is looking through old works in and among sketchbooks from previous creative projects. These have been dating as far back as to when I undertook my foundation year in art. I found a huge collection of acetate prints that I had printed initially digital images onto acetate in order to then rework and experiment with further through alternative methods and techniques. If I recall correctly, these specific prints were then used in the darkroom for further explorations. As I had been recently experimenting with the technique of cyanotype printing, I through I would attempt to combine the two. I placed the acetate prints onto the treated paper, and exposed to the direct sunlight. Below are the results.
